What’s in a Meme?
It comes from the Greek word mimema, meaning “imitated”. Today it’s shorthand for a humorous image, video, piece of text, etc., that is copied (often with slight variations) and spread rapidly by internet users. Every now and then I find a cartoon or meme that expresses my thoughts and feelings far better than writing an essay. Sharing them makes my friends laugh and sigh with understanding.
